Morton Industries Opening New Weld Training Center

Exciting news out of Morton this week! Please read the excerpt below from Morton Industries‘ press release:

Morton Industries is celebrating their opening of a new welding training center with an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Morton Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Council on Thursday, April 11. The new training facility is located at 1400 S. Main and the open house will be from 4:30 – 6:00 PM with the ribbon cutting at 5:00 PM.

This facility will train current employees interested in welding to help them transition through opportunities within the company. Fifteen employees are currently enrolled in the course. Once completed, employees will receive an MI welding certification and will be transferred to becoming a full-time welder. For this event, Morton Industries will be inviting attendees to tour the facility, learn about Morton Industries, and celebrate this new opportunity for personal and economic growth. Parking will be available across the street at Morton Community Bank.
